2017 Holiday Tour Theme - I'll Be Home For Christmas!

Making a special trip to Ruthmere during the Holiday Season is an annual tradition for many families, but this year will be especially nostalgic with the theme "I'll Be Home For Christmas."  The Ruthmere Mansion will be decorated in this festive Holiday theme by honoring both active duty and veterans of the Armed Services.  The Holiday Season is especially nostalgic for those in the Armed Services who protect our freedoms.  These stories and many more will be revealed when you take a special Holiday Tour of the Ruthmere Campus November 25-December 30.

Ruthmere is pleased to announce a special holiday partnership with all area military organizations in northern Indiana and southwestern Michigan, offering FREE ADMISSION for the entire month FOR ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY PERSONNEL AND VETERANS OF THE MILITARY. Please show military ID card to receive this benefit. Tours on the hour Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 3:00 pm - Sunday 1 - 3pm. Closed on Mondays and December 24-26. For more information 574-264-0330

Special Events during the Holiday Tour Season

The I'll Be Home For Christmas! holiday tour season opening day kicks off on Saturday, November 25.  After a full day of tours, what could be better than kicking back with Santa and Mrs. Claus for a festive "Cocktails with Claus: 21 and Over Holiday Party with Santa and Mrs. Claus" from 6-8pm in Ruthmere's Game Room.  The program will also feature a brief history and sampling of French wines with Jean and Steve Barton.  Cocktails with Claus is a Ruthmere member's only event and will take the place of the December EOQ (End of Quarter Cocktails).

The next day, November 26, we will host the popular "Sunday with Santa" an unforgettable photo op with Santa in Ruthmere's Library and a story and music program for young children and their families from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.  Admission is $10 per person (only $5 each for Ruthmere members!) and seating is extremely limited.  Two seatings of Sunday with Santa will be held--1pm and 3pm.

Look for more events coming during the Holiday Tour Season, such a Screening of White Christmas in the Ruthmere Game Room, a Holiday Tea and a Home for the Holidays panel discussion of military veterans.  The Havilah Beardsley House will be decorated in a traditional 19th Century Holiday theme.

Note: Most special events require reservations or special admissions.  Special events are separate from the normal Holiday Tours.
